Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cuisine like?

Brazilian gastronomy is the result of the fusion of indigenous, African and Portuguese food. Some of the typical dishes we will find are moqueca (seafood and fish stew), tacacá (manioc broth, jambú leaves and shrimp) and feijoada (traditional dish prepared with beans and dehydrated meat). The food of the northeast has more African influence, such as the typical Bahian vatapá (bread, shrimp and coconut milk) and acarajé (fried bun with shrimp). The most popular southeastern food is feijao tropeiro (a traditional dish of beans cooked with manioc flour and pork sausages).
In any case, we can also find international cuisine, according to the taste of each visitor.

What is the best time of the year to visit Brazil?

Brazil is a tropical destination, so temperatures tend to be warm most of the year. If you want to avoid the crowds and high temperatures, the months of September to November are very good, as it is not rainy season or high season. But if you are interested in enjoying the summer you should think about the months of December to March, and if you want to witness two of the most famous carnivals in the world, either in Rio or Salvador de Bahia, you should be on Brazilian soil by the end of February.

What are the requirements to enter Brazil? Do I need a Visa?

To enter Brazil it is necessary to have a valid passport valid for at least 6 months. Likewise, nationals of the States Parties to the “Agreement on Travel Documents of the States Parties to MERCOSUR and Associated States” (Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador and Paraguay) do not require a visa to travel to Brazil and may enter with a National Identity Card or Identity Card.

For tourist travel, most countries do not require a visa to enter Brazil, but you can check this information directly with the consulate of your country or by clicking here.

What to do in Brazil?

Brazil is beach, rhythm and sun to enjoy your dream trip. The country of joy and samba is one of the favorite destinations for travelers from all over the world, who visit it throughout the year, but mainly during the months of February and March, to immerse themselves in its fantastic Carnival! Natural paradises, romantic corners and a vibrant culture are the main attractions of Brazil, which flood our senses and invite us to let ourselves be dazzled by its wonderful atmosphere of festive joy at all times.

Rio de Janeiro, one of the most popular cities in Brazil, has earned the title of “Marvelous City” by having hundreds of attractions: dreamlike beaches, beautiful landscapes surrounded by majestic mountains, historic buildings, museums, art collections, churches full of history, a nightlife to the rhythm of Samba (the national dance) and one of the most fun and colorful Carnivals in the world.

Salvador de Bahia is a mixture of cultures that overflow with rhythm and flavor in its colorful streets and if you want to relax or practice water sports very close to Rio de Janeiro, you can’t miss Buzios, the Brazilian Saint Tropez.
